January

The WTS Transportation YOU High School Girls Scholarship is for $2,500. This is available to all female high school seniors who reside in Oregon or Southwest Washington. They must also have a 3.0 GPA and be pursuing a degree in a transportation-related field. Join the mailing list to be notified when the application opens. The deadline is  January 7th. University Of Oregon National Merit Scholarship is for \$8,000. This is for students who plan to enroll at the University of Oregon as freshmen. The student must be a National Merit Finalist and list UO as his/her first-choice college with the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. The deadline to apply is January 15th. More info here.

Cancer for College Pacific Northwest Scholarship is for $5,000. This has provided need-based college scholarships and educational experiences to cancer survivors from Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana or Alaska. Applicants must have received a cancer diagnosis at any point in the past, plan to attend a U.S. college or graduate school, and have a family income of less than \$150,000 per year. Available to undergraduate women in Washington State and Oregon pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a geoscience-related field such as geology, environmental/engineering geology, geophysics, geochemistry, hydrogeology, or hydrology. Deadline is at January 15th. Read more.

February

Applicants must be a resident of Oregon who is attending or will attend a licensed school of barbering, hair design, cosmetology or manicure in Oregon that participates in Federal Title IV financial aid programs. Candidates must enroll full-time in a program which is at least nine months long or 900 clock hours. The deadline to apply is February 1st. More details here.

Renaissance Scholars Program is up to $4,000 annually, renewable for four years. This is open to first generation college students who reside in Oregon and have a 3.0 GPA. Applicants must also demonstrate financial need. The deadline for applications is February 1st. Learn more here.

The Grieg Lodge Educational Scholarship is up to $20,000. Applicants must reside in Multnomah, Clackamas, Columbia, Washington, and Yamhill Counties in Oregon, or Clark County, Washington. Preference will be given to applicants with a connection to Nordic (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden) heritage, culture and/or activities. The deadline to apply is February 15th. The NATAS Northwest Chapter Scholarship is offered by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (Northwest Chapter) to support students pursuing careers in television, broadcasting, film, or digital media. It provides financial assistance to help students cover educational expenses while encouraging professional development in the media and entertainment industry. Deadline is at February 26th. March

Hearthstone Housing Foundation Scholarship Fund is only open to Oregon high school seniors and college students who live in Multnomah county in Portland. Students must hail from a low-income household, be 15-25 years old, and possess a GPA of 3.0 or higher. The deadline is March 31st. More information here.

Future Connect Scholarship is a support program for first-generation or low-income students graduating from high school in Multnomah County, the Hillsboro School District, or the Beaverton School District. The priority deadline was March 8th, however if you are eligible for Future Connect, you are welcome to apply as soon as possible. The deadline is March 11th. Apply here.

To be eligible, applicants must have received foster care, guardianship or adoption services from Casey Family Programs in Arizona, California, Idaho, Louisiana, Montana, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Washington or Wyoming. They must also be starting or currently attending a technical school, college or university in pursuit of a certificate, associate’s, bachelor’s or postgraduate degree. The Eastern Oregon University Foundation Scholarship provides financial assistance to students attending Eastern Oregon University. Funded through donations to the university’s foundation, these scholarships help reduce the cost of tuition and support students based on criteria such as academic achievement, financial need, leadership, and program of study. The Sister Adele Scholarship encourages and provides individuals of farmworker families that live in Oregon the opportunity to further their academic or technical education. Awards range from $1,500-$5,000 per scholarship winner. The deadline is April 1st. Learn more here..

Teresa Roth Memorial Scholarship is for $1,000. This award is given to a senior girl who has been involved in Silverton High School athletics, has had academic success, and will be attending Oregon State University for her freshman year. The deadline is April 8th by 3:30pm. Learn more here.

The Beth Davisson Memorial Scholarship provides financial assistance to graduating high school seniors in Oregon who plan to continue their education after high school. The scholarship awards up to $1,000 to help students with college or other educational expenses. It honors the memory of Beth Davisson by supporting students in achieving their academic goals. Frothy Fox Scholarship is for applicants working towards earning a standard or modified diploma from Silverton High School. The amount ranges from $200 to $400. The deadline to apply is April 30th of their senior year. More info here.

Oregon State Sheriff’s Association Scholarship gives \$2,000 to Oregon high school seniors or current college students who intend to study law enforcement at a community college or university. The deadline is April 1st. Learn more here.

The OAN Emerald Empire Chapter Award is offered to a junior or senior college student majoring in horticulture, landscape architecture or landscape construction who also graduated from an Oregon high school. Preference will be given to a student from the Emerald Empire (Eugene) area. The deadline is April 15th. More info here.

Offered to a high school senior and/or college student from Jefferson County who wishes to pursue a health career and practice in rural Oregon. Minimum GPA requirement is 2.5. Deadline is at April 2nd. Read more.

 Candidates must be undergraduate students pursuing a degree in horticulture, floriculture, or nursery-related studies.Preference is given to applicants who show a strong commitment to pursuing a career in the horticulture industry. Connection to the OAN Greenhouse Chapter or relevant horticultural experience is highly valued.

SHS Business Management CTE Scholarship ranges from $250 to $1,000. To be eligible, applicants must show involvement with the Business Management CTE program at Silverton High School by earning a minimum of 3 credits within the program of study. They must also have plans to pursue a Business-related profession at a community college, university, technical, or trade school and maintain a 3.0 GPA. The deadline is May 2nd by 3:30pm. Justin Little Memorial Scholarship is for $500 and is awarded to one or more graduating high school seniors with an interest in America History who are planning to attend an Oregon Community College, and who will be enrolled in a history course during the coming academic year.  Applicants must submit an essay and a Letter of Recommendation from a history teacher. The Portland Chinese Scholarship Foundation provides scholarships to students in the Portland area who demonstrate academic achievement, community involvement, and financial need. The foundation supports educational opportunities for students while promoting academic success and cultural engagement within the community. Deadline is at May 15th. Read more.

A four-year, full-tuition, impact-driven undergraduate scholarship awarded to 10–15 exceptional high school students who have demonstrated excellence in leadership, community service, extracurricular activities, and academics. Oregon Sports Hall MacTarnahan Scholarship is for $3,000 for student-athletes attending Oregon colleges with a 3.3 GPA or higher. The deadline to apply is June 15th. Apply here.

 

Korean American Scholarship Foundation Western Scholarship ranges from $500 to $5,000. This is for students of Korean-American descent attending a school in Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, or Washington. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need. The deadline to apply is June 30th at 8:59 PDT. Learn more here.

 

Awarded to one undergraduate student from each of the four districts of the Oregon-Idaho Annual Conference, totaling four $1,000 scholarships annually. Applicants are evaluated primarily on leadership or potential leadership skills. Financial need is also considered. The scholarship may be used at any two- or four-year accredited undergraduate institution. Deadline is at June 1st. Read more.

Provides scholarships, advocacy, leadership, and skills training for students who have experienced homelessness within the past six years. Open to current seniors, those in GED programs, or students taking a GAP year. Must live in the US; undocumented students who meet criteria are eligible. Deadline is at June 2nd. Read more.

Oregon Chafee Education and Training Grant provides funding to help current or former foster care youth with postsecondary education and training. The grant awards up to a maximum of $5,000 to Oregon residents who are currently or have been in child welfare foster care for at least 6 months. The deadline for the Fall semester is August 1st. Highly selective, last-dollar scholarship for outstanding minority high school seniors from low-income households. Awarded to exceptional student leaders to help realize their maximum potential. NW Fire Diversity Council Scholarship awards $650 to students who attend an accredited fire or EMS program and plan for a career in these fields. The deadline is October 1st. Learn more here.

The Stamps Scholarship—the University of Oregon provides UO resident tuition, fees, room, and board for four years of undergraduate study. To be eligible, you must be a domestic freshman with a minimum 3.85 cumulative high school GPA. You must have also demonstrated leadership, perseverance, scholarship, service, and innovation. December

For a licensed radio amateur with a general class or higher license who is a resident of the ARRL Northwest Division area (AK, ID, MT, OR, WA). Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and demonstrated interest in promoting the Amateur Radio Service. Deadline is at December 31st. Read more.

The Western Undergraduate Exchange is a merit based scholarship for up to $66,400. This is given to incoming freshmen who are non-resident applicants to the University of New Mexico. Applicants must be from Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Nevada, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington or Wyoming. It is renewable for four years, dependent on the completion of 15 credits and a 3.0 GPA each semester. Must have an ACT of 22 or an SAT of 1100, and a cumulative 3.0 GPA. The deadline varies. Western Undergraduate Exchange Plus at University of New Mexico is a merit-based scholarship for incoming students at the University of New Mexico who are non-resident applicants. Residents of  Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Nevada, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, or Wyoming  are eligible to apply. The scholarship is renewable for four years if 15 credits are completed each semester and a 3.0 GPA is maintained. The deadline varies. Learn more here.

To be considered, you must be a US Citizen or permanent resident and have a permanent residence within one of the following participating states/U.S. territories: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, Guam, and Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands (CNMI). Chafee Education and Training Voucher (ETV) funding is for $5,000 to help current or former foster care youth with post-secondary education and training. Each applicant must be currently in foster care, must have been in foster care for at least 180 days after their 14th birthday and left substitute care at age 16 or older. First-time applicants must be under the age of 21. Youth may then continue to apply/receive funds until they turn 23 years old as long as they are enrolled in a post-secondary education or training program and making satisfactory progress toward completion of that program. To be eligible, you must be a recent Oregon high school graduate or GED test graduate, attend an Oregon community college, have a 2.50 cumulative high school GPA or higher, or a 145 grade on all GED tests, and be an Oregon resident for at least 12 months prior to college attendance. ​​Oregon Community Leadership Scholarship is for $6,250 per year for a total commitment of $25,000 per student in perpetuity.  This is a renewable four-year collegiate scholarship program. This organization aims to help Oregon high school seniors who are leaders attend a college, university, or trade school within the state. Applicants must portray involvement in the community and demonstrate financial need. The program is intended to facilitate the growth of promising leaders in the state of Oregon by developing the skills needed to flourish their local communities. For more information. 

OHDC- NFJP Scholarship for Farmworkers/Agriculture requires applicants to be 16-24 years old and come from an agrarian background as a farmworker. In addition to financial assistance ranging from $500-$1,500, they also provide services such as resume help, interview coaching and counseling.
