I help students develop a thoughtful admissions strategy that highlights who they are and what they have to offer. Together, we’ll build a plan that strengthens every part of the application, including course selection, extracurricular involvement, summer opportunities, college lists, essays, recommendation strategy, interviews, and financial aid planning.
Rather than checking boxes, I help students understand how admissions officers evaluate applications so they can make intentional decisions throughout high school. Every recommendation is personalized to each student’s goals, interests, and strengths.
School counselors are invaluable resources, but they support hundreds of students each year. Most simply don’t have the time to provide individualized guidance through every aspect of the admissions process.
Working with me means having a dedicated expert who gets to know your student over time. I help families make informed decisions, stay organized, avoid common mistakes, and build an application that clearly communicates who the student is and why they belong at their best-fit colleges. My goal isn’t simply helping students get accepted. It’s helping them maximize opportunities while reducing stress for the entire family.
For more than 18 years, I have helped hundreds of students earn admission to colleges that are the right academic, personal, and financial fit.
My approach combines admissions strategy with financial aid expertise, allowing families to make informed decisions about both where students apply and how they’ll pay for college. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all admissions advice. Every student receives individualized guidance built around their strengths, goals, and story.
Because I intentionally limit the number of students I work with each year, every family receives direct access to me throughout the admissions process.
I am an active member of NACAC (the National Association for College Admissions Counseling) and NYSACAC (the New York State Association for College Admissions Counseling). I believe that fit is just as important as experience and knowledge. I want you to feel comfortable with whoever you choose.
All meetings are conducted virtually by phone or Zoom, allowing me to work with students and families across the United States. Between meetings, we collaborate through shared documents and email, ensuring students receive timely feedback and support as they move through each stage of the admissions process.
My virtual model provides families with the flexibility to meet from anywhere while maintaining the same personalized, one-on-one guidance that has become the hallmark of my practice.
Students receive ongoing email support throughout the admissions process, so they can ask questions as they arise between scheduled meetings. They also receive access to a dedicated student portal, where they can submit materials, track assignments, review feedback, and access resources throughout our work together.
Absolutely. While I encourage students to take ownership of the college admissions process, parents play an important role as partners throughout the journey. At least one parent should attend the initial consultation, and parents are always welcome to reach out by email with questions.
Throughout our work together, parents receive regular progress reports, have access to their student’s dedicated portal to track assignments and deadlines, and are kept informed of major milestones and next steps. My goal is to ensure that both students and parents feel confident, informed, and supported throughout the admissions process.
Students can begin working with me as early as 9th grade, although many families choose to start during sophomore or junior year. Starting earlier provides more time to develop a strong academic and extracurricular profile, explore interests, and make strategic decisions before applications begin.
Because I intentionally limit the number of students I work with each admissions cycle, I encourage families to reach out before senior year to ensure availability.
College is one of the largest financial investments most families will ever make. A thoughtful admissions strategy can influence not only where a student is accepted, but also how much the family ultimately pays.
As both a college admissions and financial aid consultant, I help families identify colleges that are an excellent academic, personal, and financial fit. Strategic college planning can lead to significant merit scholarship opportunities and better financial aid outcomes, making professional guidance a valuable investment for many families.
Yes, of course. I want to make sure that college prep is available to all students and families. Please download a copy of our guide to college admissions. Also, check out our Facebook page.
